No. 6 - Perth's City Skies
Well this Perth family location is obvious but often overlooked. What better place to mark a special moment in our city with those we love most? A super convenient central location in South Perth, why not pack a picnic to enjoy an easy, relaxed dinner on the foreshore afterwards and take in the spectacular view as the lights come on. Perfect for extended families travelling from interstate and overseas.
No.5 - Perth Beaches
There is something so calming about hearing the crashing of waves which is why a selection of our stunning beaches has quickly become my favourite Perth family location. I love the neutral tones and pastels we often get at sunset. It all makes for the dreamy light portraits Melissa Sprlyan Photography is known for. I photograph right up and down the Perth coastline, from Iluka to Coogee, and Point Peron in Rockingham to Halls Head near Mandurah. My preferred stretch of coastline is centrally located and close to Scarborough.
No. 4 - Wetlands
A central and convenient Perth family location just minutes from the city near Subiaco, offering dappled sunlight through the trees with long grasses in the background. Often quiet with little distraction for the kids and ample parking. This location is a winner with young families as sessions can also be scheduled a lot earlier in the afternoon than our other locations. I always suggest clients enjoy an easy dinner out to celebrate your portrait session, our family favourites nearby include 3 Sheets by the Lake and Clancy's.
No.3 - Fields
A wide open space, perfect for any session. If you want variety in backgrounds then this Perth family location is for you as there is so much to choose from here at the one location! Conveniently located for those north of the river and close to Hillarys. The grasses change depending on time of month and throughout the year. During the cooler months the grasses are usually left uncut allowing for beautiful sun-lit grasses at dusk. Why not enjoy a family dinner at the boat harbour afterwards? Our family favourite is 3 Sheets on the Habour.
No.2 - By the sea
Another Perth family location option for those wanting to be by the water and avoid the strong winds that often come with a beach session. This spot tends to offer a bit more shelter. Perfect for any portrait session. Conveniently located for those south of the river, close to Fremantle. Why not enjoy a family dinner in town afterwards? Two of our family favourites both on South Terrace include Ruocco's and Runamuk.
No. 1 - In your own home
Your home is a sacred space to photograph your family so its no surprise this is my number one Perth family location for portraits. I feel truly honoured to be invited into my clients homes. Suitable for newborn and intimate maternity portraits. Sessions are scheduled in the morning ending no later than midday. There is no travel fee to photograph in the comfort of your own own home and I service the entire Perth metropolitan area including Yanchep right down to Mandurah and east to Perth hills.
